“In the summer,
the song sings itself.”
—William Carlos Williams
So much progress at the foundation over the last couple seasons and so much to come this summer. Construction begins on the new workshop. It's been a long process of design and permitting but we're ready to go. The shop will be a full fabrication and maintenence space with areas to create in multiple disciplines and varied materials.
The old gallery tile floor has been removed and preserved. It is currently being replaced with a heated, sprung hardwood floor for dance and movement practices.
There's some new faces around to help lead the efforts here. Bob and Kristen Butera have joined the management and direction team, and we're already making huge leaps on some long overdue systems.
All of the planting work on the front meadow is starting grow and tease with native beauty.
We will be hosting Neighborhood Connections' Caribbean Night steel drum conert again this year and there is another art show currated by Cindy Smith slated for Semptember. Kate has set a few garden tour dates, please reach out if you're interested.
